What is a Super 8mm Film?
A Super 8mm film is a motion picture film format, essentially video captured on a roll of film. Our Super 8mm films are a mini highlight reel of your shoot + special day, documenting special moments for you to relive in a few minutes via motion picture alongside the photo gallery we create for you. What's the difference between the 'A Lover's Film' package and the 'Forever and More Film' package?
The 'A Lover's Film' package is a shorter mini film that we create by capturing moments during a couples session or during the bridal portraits on a wedding day which only totals to a few minutes long. The 'Forever and More Film' package is an extended version of a highlight video that is longer than the mini film and includes event coverage clips as well as bridal portraits.
Can I choose the song used in the video?
We are more than happy to hear what song you would love to use for your film! Before the post-production process begins, we ask our clients to provide us with 3-6 song options to see what would suit their film vibe and aesthetic the best. We choose what song(s) we think would then be most suitable for the film amongst these choices and sometimes also provide our own input on song suggestions if needed.
How long does it take to receive a Super 8mm film?
Our final galleries are delivered to our clients within 6 months from their event and/or shoot date. Our aim is to complete both the photo gallery and final film within the same time frame if our editing queues allow for it.
How can I purchase a Super 8mm film service?
Super 8mm films are an add-on only service and have to be booked with our photography services. This film service can be added to any photography booking prior to the consultation that we host before your shoot date in order to have the ability to discuss the service details before the big day.
